She currently serves as the National New Play Network Producer-in-Residence at Horizon Theatre. She is also the executive artistic director and a co-founder of Found Stages, which builds community through innovative storytelling.
Through Found Stages, Nichole has directed and produced eight innovative projects that stretch the notions of what theater is or “should” be, as well as two annual reading series that spotlight Atlanta playwrights. Found Stages’ Frankenstein’s Funeral (which Nichole directed, conceived and co-wrote with Neeley Gossett, Annie Harrison Elliott and Addae Moon) was named one of the best plays of 2019 by ArtsATL in its “Year In Review.”
Nichole has presented on creating site-specific and immersive theater at the Dramatists Guild Annual Conference (July 2018) and the Institute of Outdoor Theatre Conference Paul Green Seminar (October 2017).
Nichole was the lead artist of a 2015-16 Alliance Theatre Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab project. She has been a member of the Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta (ALMA) class of 2019 and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Observership Class of 2016-17. She was the resident director of Atlanta's Working Title Playwrights Ethel Woolson Lab in 2015-16.
In Atlanta, Nichole has worked as a director, assistant director, dramaturg and/or teaching artist with Alliance Theatre, Atlanta History Center, Georgia Shakespeare, Actor’s Express Theatre, Horizon Theatre, Serenbe Playhouse, Emory University, Out of Hand Theater, Working Title Playwrights, The Weird Sisters Theatre Project, The Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival, The MoJo Fest, Elm Street Cultural Arts Center, Pinch ‘n’ Ouch Theatre and Fabrefaction Theatre Conservatory.
She holds degrees in theatre and public relations from The University of Texas at Austin, and is an alumna of Actor’s Express Theatre’s directing internship program.
Nichole directing Working Title Playwrights’ 2015 workshop of Empty Rooms by Annie Harrison Elliott. Nichole also produced and directed the full production through Found Stages in 2017.
